Winner: Diego, ice crystals
In January 2018, the Geographical Association in Worcestershire, along with the University of Worcester, launched a Young Photographer’s Competition for children from age 9 to 19.
“Water” was the theme, chosen with the aim of focusing on the sixth goal of The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Clean water and sanitation. This could be incorporated into the photograph in a number of different forms, such as rivers and oceans, or how water is used. Students from the British School in The Netherlands participated in this competition and were required to send in their photograph along with a 250-word description.
Although a winner was chosen, all the students’ photographs will be displayed in The Hive, in Worcester, a gold-coloured library in the center of the county.
